For TOMS' second retail location, choosing Austin was a no brainer. We followed the same approach as our flagship store by choosing to set up shop in a 100 year old Victorian house on South Congress. Turning a house into a cafe/retail/community space was no small feat but we managed to lovingly modify the sturdy bones of this historic house to accomplish our needs. With an amazingly large front and back yard, two historic carriage houses and a gigantic and shady oak tree, this place has become a go-to hangout spot on South Congress Avenue, especially for Austin's sizable college crowd. 

 

Role: Visual Merchandising Manager

Responsibilities:

• Managed a team designing fixtures, graphics and store layout

• Oversaw creative direction for entire space

• Hands on assistance during store set up including hand painting and visual merchandising

• Oversaw vendors and craftsmen working on projects

• Sourced FF&E and decor
